Facebook Ad Review Request Rejected: What It Means and What to Do Next
Quick fix
A Facebook ad review request rejected means Meta looked again and kept its decision. The ad stays rejected and you can't submit another review request for that same ad. Read the policy reason, then change what breaks it and create a new or edited ad, which is reviewed as a new ad.
- Accept that this ad cannot be reviewed again.
- Re-read the policy reason in Business Support Home.
- Change the image, video, text, targeting or landing page that breaks it.
- Publish the fixed version as a new or edited ad.

What this error means
You asked Meta to look again and the second review agreed with the first. Re-reviews rely more on human reviewers than the first check. If the ad is rejected again, it stays rejected and you can't request another review of it.
Why it happens
1The ad does break the policy
The second review, which relies more on people, confirmed the violation.
How to tell if this is you: The same policy reason is shown after the review.
2One component still breaks it
The reason may sit in a part you did not change, such as targeting or the landing page.
How to tell if this is you: You changed the text but not the image, targeting or page.
3Meta got it wrong
Meta says it can't promise to get things right every time, even on re-review.
How to tell if this is you: You're confident the ad complies and the reason doesn't fit.
How to fix it
- Check the reason in Business Support Home, where you can also track requested reviews.
- Review each component: image, video, text, targeting and landing page.
- Create a new ad or edit this one. It is treated as a new ad and reviewed again.
How long it takes
Meta aims to decide on a review request within 48 hours. Its small business guide says it's usually completed within 24 hours, although it may take longer.
How to stop it happening again
- Fix the cause before resubmitting: editing a rejected ad doesn't remove the violation from your account.
- Avoid repeat rejections: severe or repeated violations can restrict your account.
From my desk
Tweaking the same ad again is a waste. First I reread the policy named in the rejection and look at the landing page and every asset, not just the line I suspected. Then I fix the real cause and publish a fresh ad that no longer breaks the rule.

Can I request another review after it is rejected again?
No. If it's rejected again, the ad stays rejected and you can't submit another review request for the same ad.
Will the failed review hurt my account?
Requesting a review won't hurt your standing, but the violation stays on your account, and severe or repeated violations can lead to restrictions.
Is a new ad reviewed differently?
A new or edited ad is treated as a new ad and reviewed by the ad review system.
Who reviews a review request?
Meta relies more heavily on teams of human reviewers for re-review requests than for the first review.
What if the review is reversed?
If the decision is reversed and your campaign is active, the ad starts delivering automatically.
