Does SheetSense read or upload my spreadsheet data?
No. All scanning happens locally in your browser. SheetSense reads the cells in the active tab to perform its analysis, but no data is transmitted to any server. Your spreadsheet stays completely private.
Which spreadsheet apps does it support?
SheetSense works on Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel Online - both via the Chrome extension. It does not support desktop Excel or LibreOffice. If you open a supported spreadsheet in Chrome, SheetSense is active.
How is the health score calculated?
The 0–100 health score weighs the severity and frequency of detected issues across all 15+ rule checks. Critical issues like silent overwrites and formula breaks reduce the score more sharply than style or complexity warnings. A score of 80+ is generally considered safe to share.
What's the difference between a scan and always-on monitoring?
